Real-Estate Administration Assistant
About the role
Tozers LLP is a leading firm of solicitors with offices in Exeter, Teignmouth and Newton Abbot offering an extensive legal service to businesses and individuals both locally and nationally. We are recognised in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK legal directories in a number of fields including our Social Housing practice.
What you’ll be doing
You will be part of our busy Social Housing property team, providing comprehensive administrative support across the full transaction lifecycle. Responsibilities will include conducting searches, preparing files for exchange and completion, processing payments and assisting with pre-and post-completion matters, including submitting Land Registry applications and SDLT returns. This role also involves document management, document creation and formatting, client communication handling and delivering general administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the team.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic administrator who, at all times understands that assisting the team to deliver the highest standards of client care is paramount. This office-based role requires a highly dependable individual who will provide professional and proactive support to enable the smooth day-to-day operations of our team. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are eager to learn, develop their skills and broaden their understanding of the real estate sector as they grow within the role.
What you’ll have
You will have a minimum of 2–5+ years of experience in a secretarial or assistant role within a real-estate team and a good working knowledge of Land Registry procedures and documents.
With some previous real-estate work experience, you will be confident in communicating with our clients and, under our lawyers’ direction, you will be comfortable ensuring that our clients have the information they need if our lawyers are engaged elsewhere.
Exceptional organisational skills, a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential. You must be adept at managing competing priorities, maintaining a high level of accuracy, and collaborating effectively with team members.
